Gratitude

Okay so for the record...I am writing this at 2 am and if I'm not so um coherent I want you to know why.

If your wondering, like I am why I am writing at 2 am it's to express my gratitude for what I have. I just got home after working 12 hours and I can't even call it work. I have spent about 50 or 60 hours in the last week and a half working with Ej and Janet on our first movie. Tonight we came very close to our final editing stages. Before I left we had to see the reception footage...... now I am crying again.......for the 4th no 5th okay 6th time this evening....no morning. I have to say that we were so overwhelmed by the beauty and greatness that we get to work and be a part of everyday. I am really excited to show you the finished product but that's not what I am talking about.

What I am talking about is the feeling of happiness. I heard a phrase recently that has stuck with me.... she said she felt free to be happy. Tonight as I was driving home I had my windows down and enjoyed the warm air, the smells, and wanted to share with you guys that if you take a few seconds out of your day and stop and take in the beauty around you how amazing you can feel.

Okay, okay I am getting a bit preachy ....sorry....I might delete this when I wake up and realize how tired I was and feel goofy for saying this. I know that there are times when you feel like..... how can I have time for happiness or stop and be still and find something beautiful? I too have had struggled with these thoughts lately. As some of you may know I have a very rough two months. I feel that the things that have happened to me have helped me to become a stronger person. I have stopped focusing on the stress in my life and what I don't have instead I am choosing to concentrate on being thankful for the things I do have.

I guess what I am saying is I am very thankful for everything in my life and I wanted to share my feelings with you, and hopefully all your days be filled with happiness, too.

One wedding, hoedown and a great couple

I had a request from one of my stalkers to update my blog. I do love my stalkers and they keep me in line.

I have wanted to post about Maria and Russells wedding for a while now. Their rehearsal dinner was a hoedown which by the way was very cool.

I'll start with that ....I love this shot ......she is totally all about I am driving this home.

One of her Aunts made this cake isn't it Fabulous!!!

The hoedown took place on Russells parents land. So we did a few pictures of them on the farm. By the way it was gorgeous!

This is one of those images you don't plan and was super happy I saw this. I got down low to take a picture of the flower girl getting her hair done and looked up at Maria and saw the glow from the light in the other room. I love it because it's a star shape and brides are totally stars on their wedding day.

Their wedding was outside and they were very back lit. I noticed shadows as everyone walked out and it was only the children that I thought looked perfect.

One of my all time favorite shots ever of a bride and groom walking down the isle.

I hardly ever show reception shots so starting today I am. This has to be one of my favorite garter pics.

These last three images are from their last dance. Can you feel the love ...not the song from Lion King but the newlywed love.

My first teaser and plug

I photographed the coolest wedding a few weeks ago. It was a French and American wedding. Instead of the wedding traditions that we are used to. They had skits, songs, and after they cut the cake the wedding party served the guests. I thought this was such a wonderful touch to the reception.

I love when couples see each other before the ceremony. We had extra time to do formals. Here are some of my fav's.

As we were walking down to this cool wall of evergreen trees we walked by this small opening and it was this hidden old broken down building. I HAD to get shots in there. I think everyone thought I was crazy and thought it was really great!

And this is the spot I asked her to climb through. Courtney took this shot.

I love this shot of them at the reception. I'll show more of the reception later it was a fabulous.

So on to the plug.....Fox 5 news has a best of/what's hot in Atlanta and they have a wedding section. It just so happens that I am listed and also my fabulous pals Blue World Studios. So that's the plug to vote us and other fabulous vendors such as Carla with On Occasions, Event Perfect, Lee Epting, Tamela with Southern Bouquets and other fabulous vendors!!!!!
