Melissa and Kevin

I know everyone has been asking to see the wedding from the snowy day in Ga. I'll start with some fun that the guys had in the snow. It started out with a formal and then a snowball got thrown.

They had their reception at the Pavilion in Dunwoody and it's a beautiful venue so we had some extra time to do some formals and well I might have asked them to get on the bar.

I have been working a new website and should have it done in a few days!!!

An Awesome New Years Eve Party

I have been looking forward to showing you some of my fav images from the best start to the new year!

Jenni and Kiel were absolutely fabulous to work with and yep they made it to one of my best couples. Of coarse I have to start with a shoe shot ... how could I not?

I love this one that my new 2nd photographer took...his name will be disclosed later....

Okay so here's the deal. I have to be honest about this one. I was trying to get a shot of her mom putting on her bracelet and couldn't get it sooooo I ducked down to see if I had a shot and well I got this.

Some fabulous portraits...

My new photographer also took this one. Doesn't it look like a painting?

Happy New Year! I love this shot for so many reasons the light, the emotion and excitement!

Happy Holidays!!

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season! I know I did. I spent my holidays with my family and a new family. I started dating a new guy named Steve. It was wonderful being surrounded by wonderful, funny, loving people this holiday season. I had three weddings in December and one was on New Years Eve that was just absolutely perfect!!! I can't wait to show you images. Then I had an absolutely perfect engagement session on New Years Day ......yes it was cold but we had the best time and got some super cool images. The creative juices were flowing!!! I can't wait to show you those images as well!!

This has been a very busy holiday season! I promise I'll be posting about all the fun stuff I have been doing.

List time.... The things I am most looking forward to this year.

Working with all my fabulous couples!!

Taking dance lessons with my new guy!! He got me dance lessons for Christmas!

Learning new things like learning to cook. That's right I confessed to you on this blog this day. I seriously don't know how to cook. So, I want to take some classes.

Volunteering, this is one I am looking forward to the most. I have had such an amazing year (last year) and this next one is going to be even more amazing and I feel I must give back. I'm not sure what I'm going to do just yet but most likely I'll become a big sister or work with children in some way.

This year is going to be all about new things. I'm really looking forward to trying new things. Oh, I already have one .... podcasts!! Hello how cool are those?!? One of my friends told me about that and I LOVE being able to listen to them.

If anyone has any suggestions of their favorite things to listen to, read, websites, etc... email me !!

Christmas deadline

The deadline for ordering pictures and getting them back before Christmas is Dec. 12th.

Hope your having a great holiday season!!

Engagement sessions galore!!

I know it's been a while since I posted but I wanted to share some images from the greatest couples!!!

I have had a lot of couples tell me I could do whatever I wanted so I did. By the way that is always a super great thing to hear for me. The more creative you let be is always a bonus but most couples come away from their session having a blast!

This is Jo and Evan. They are a super great couple and got to spend time with them over dinner at Chow Baby in Atlanta.....Yummy!!!! Ej, Janet and I photographed their engagement session. Jo and Evan are getting the movie so we all went to shoot the session which was great!

I'll start with one of Janets I love the mood in this photo.
I took this one and love the light!

This is in the same light and location and I love the moment that Ej caught!

As we were leaving Ej saw this pile of leaves and asked them to walk through it . I love this series!
Next up is Lindsey and Shaun. They are one of those couples that said they would do anything and we ended up shooting for about an hour and a half and had a lot of fun!!

This was totally unprompted Shaun gets all the credit for this one and I love it.

Megan And BJ

I have sooooo been looking forward to posting about their wedding! I was able to have extra time for formals and I totally love more time to be creative!

First I'll start with an image of the two of them right after they got married riding in the limo.
These next two have got to be some of my favorite pictures from the day. This is right before we started the formals.
All the girls were taking off their heels and well hello how could you not take a picture of the shoes!! This by the way is one of those times when I say I know this looks super strange as I am laying down on the grass... but just wait till you see the picture!! I might even be a little giddy while saying it!!
I love these pictures of Megan and BJ.

I might have said this before but I love it when I can use the Dj's lights.

Big day out...

I got an official day off and this is what I did.....

Yesterday was one of the best days I have had in a while. It started out like any other morning except I had a craving for waffle house and wanted coffee from Starbucks with my best friends Janet and Ej. Then as we were sitting outside enjoying the most beautiful day I exclaimed LET'S GO SHOOT!! We always talk abut it shooting for ourselves but we never do and what a perfect day. So, with our bellies stuffed we headed downtown to see what we could find.

This is the start to our big day out.

We all had one lens we could shoot with and one we hardly ever use. So we started out shooting the same things.

This one is taken by EJ.

Okay and this one too...I LOVE this!!!

These are mine.

When I first starting taking pictures my favorite thing to photograph was architecture. So it was awesome to be able to find a place with such amazing lines and light.

We stopped at a place that was an old factory that was being turned into lofts. Hopefully I will be living in one of these soon or we will have a studio in here.

This is where I got to really have fun and I might have ...maybe...been planning this shot from the beginning.....I asked Ej to sit first and then told J to put her camera down and sit beside him with her back to his shoulder. The kiss and smile happened all by itself. I have to say this is my favorite shot by far. I was so excited to capture their love for each other.
